Zakynthos reached 500 thousand tourists for 2013 - With all ways!!!

Yesterday  Sunday November 3 was the last flight from the international airport of Zakynthos Dionysios Solomos, to transfer and the last tourists 2013 back in London after their holidays in Zante.

From this last flight for this year, the total number of tourists who chose Zakynthos island as a tourist destination by air, reaches the 483 thousand tourists for 2013.
Here we must  mention that thousands of tourists this year chose and other ways to reach the island. Features to mention the many Italians who traveled with ships and private cars whose final destination is the island of Zakynthos. Also it was not few those who descended from the Balkans and Central Europe.
The final observation is that this year for Zakynthos was successful in its tourist arrivals, with forecasts to speak for more than 500 thousand tourists, a number - target, dormant for many years before 2013.
But the most important conclusion derived from the above, is that the rise was due to a large percentage in the low cost flights, which are independent of the major agencies and help the tourist visiting the Island with low cost airline tickets.
It is worth mentioning at this point that attempts are being made by the local authorities of the Ionian Islands, to deal with budget airlines to grow even more independent flights to the Islands, but also to further open the market and to avoid this degree of dependence on big companies that so many years of ravaging the Greek product.
